Mitchell Tonight

As of 4:30 I have not heard of any cancellation of tonights game. Keeping checking in, I'll post any notice as soon as I get it. I know their intentions is to play if at all possible otherwise it will really screw up the rest of the tourney.

Please be at Mitchell ball park Diamond D @ 7:45 pm Thursday & Friday night. Be at park Saturday @ 1:15 pm Diamond D. Check website before leaving in case of cancellation due to rain.

Remember registration/hat/shirt money & copy of birth certificates.

Good Opening Game

Overall you all played well last night. Since it was our first game this year I expected some rust, but overall it was a good effort. We will look to build on this game as we go against New Dundee Thursday night and Sebringville on Sunday night.

Mitchell Tournament Update

The Mitchell tourny starts Thursday May 28, 29, 30 and 31- all of our games are played on Diamond D at Mitchell ball park. Our 1st game is Thursday night (28th) @ 8:30 pm against Oxford, 2nd game is Friday night (29th) @ 8:30 pm against Copetown, 3rd game is Saturday (30th) @ 2 pm against Mildmay. Depending on how we finsh the Sunday games are 1st A vs 2nd B @ 2 pm, or 2nd A vs 1st B @ 3:30 pm, with Championship game @ 6:30 pm. Book your time off work and if you are not available let me know as soon as possible.

Finally looks like good weather for tonights game. Everyone should be there by 7:45 ready to warm up and to play. If you can not make it I expect to here from you in the next couple of hours. I'll see everybody in Rockwood.

1. ROCKWOOD GAME - MONDAY MAY 18TH - LLOYD DYER PARK.
DIRECTIONS: Guelph line to Hwy 7 east to Rockwood, turn right just before entering main village intersection. Park is 3 blocks in. Be at park for 7:45 pm. If you can not make it PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!!!!!

2. NEW DUNDEE MAKE-UP GAME - Thursday May 21st - be at park for 7:45 pm. If you can not make it PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!!!!!

3. Since we are not getting any playing in let's squeeze in 1 more practice - Sunday May 17th @ 2 pm - Packham Road.

4. Sunday's game against Copetown has been cancelled by Copetown. I'll let you know when it is rescheduled.

NEW DUNDEE

Rarely does New Dundee cancel games because of rain, so be prepared to go and play.

Wednesday New Dundee

Our next game is Wednesday in New Dundee. Be at the park by 7:45 to get ready and warmed up. If you can not be there LET ME KNOW. I'll be a little late getting there (see I'm letting you know I'm going to be late), so Kim will get you all started. We need to get a good start to the year so warm-up like it means something. Both pitchers will see some game time as will everyone else.

May 10th Game Cancelled

Tonight's game has been cancelled due to COLD weather, we WILL be practicing tomorrow night @ 8:30 pm D1 Packham Rd - be there!

Permanent Practice Night/Sunday game

We now have a PERMANENT PRACTICE NIGHT - Monday nights @ 8:30 pm D1 - Packham Rd.

I will let everyone know by 1 pm Sunday (May 10th) whether or not we will be playing our Sunday night game!

Saurday & Uniforms

Two important notices about tomorrow's tourny.

1) Please send me an email at jamie@stratfordhomes.ca or call 519-949-0345 to let me know you are/aren't going to be there. I need to make the rotations and batting orders up. If I don't hear from you I will assume you are not coming. If the tourny is cancelled it will be posted by 7:30AM. Check the site before you come to the park.

2) If you have not got your uniform yet be at the park by 8:00AM to get it.

Practice & Opening Tournament

Next practice is Thursday night at 6:30. It will be our last before the Saturday tournament.

Our games on Saturday are 9:00AM & 11:30. Be at the park by 8:15AM

Our first real game is Sunday here in Stratford against Waterloo. Game time is 7:00PM so be at the park for 6:15 PM

Practice

Thanks to everyone who was out tonight. It was nice to have almost everyone out. Next practice is Monday at 6:30. This week is supposed to be a crappy week for weather so we will fit in what we can around the weather.

The schedule is now on the site. Tournaments aren't yet but will be soon.

With the rain tonight we will have to cancel. Sorry for the late notice but it just started. It is VERY IMPORTANT that everyone try and make the remaining practices before the season starts.

We play two games on next Saturday (May 9) and we officially start our season with a home game on Sunday. So we must get everyone out to these practices.

Next one is Sunday at 6:30 Packham Road.

New Players

I have picked up a few other players from out of town. They are expected to be at tonight's practice. We now have more than enought players to have great year. I've also had to cancel the planned exhibition game for next Thursday. I may and try getting a few innings in against the Bantams.
