Jim Shackleton Funeral arrangements

There will be visitations at the Wayne Young Funeral Home on Huron Street:

Saturday May 2nd from 7:00-9:00
Sunday May 3rd from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00
Masonic Service will be Sunday at 6:00
The Funeral will be held at St. John's United Church on Waterloo Street at 11:00 on Monday, May 4th.

Thursday Practice

Tonight's practice is cancelled due to the rain. We will go again Friday night at 6:30 instead. This will still give you enough time to party all night. Please be sure to read the notice below regarding Jim Shackleton.

A Sad Passing

Earlier today, Jim Shackleton, founder of Stratford Memorial Fastball, died as the result of cancer. To say Jim was a great booster of the sport of fastball is an understatement.

As a tribute to Jim we are trying to have as many of you as possible attend the funeral in your jerseys. I'll let you know times a little later. Please give some thought to making it to the service.

Exhibition Game

I'm in the process of setting up a game for May 7 at Packham Road. Likely a 8:00 start time. More details will follow. Se you at practice on Thursday night.

Next Practice

Our next practice is scheduled for Thursday at 6:30PM at Packham Road. All practices will now be there. We will meet by the batting cage, which is by the back two diamonds or to the left when you come in.

We will need to hold a few more practices before the start of the season. Count on going on Friday night if Thursday gets rained out and again on Sunday at 6:30.

We could also still use a few more bodies to play. Check with your friends and see what you can do.

Practice at 6:00

We will be practicing tonight at 6:00 see EVERYONE there. (Farigrounds)

Sunday Practice

If the weather permits tonights 6:00 practice will be at the Fairgrounds. I'll post at about 5PM if we are going ahead with practice. It is supposed to rain this afternoon, but we will wait and see. We are practicing tomorrow night as well at 6:30.

Practice Schedule

Next practice will be on Sunday at 6:00PM. Check back before practice, it will either be at Packham Road with the Batting cage or if not available than back at the Fairgrounds.

Practice will also be on Monday at the Fairgrounds. Start time is 6:30.

A SPECIAL NOTE: If practice is called for 6:30 than I expect you to be at the park ready to practice at that time not rolling in 10 to 15 minutes late. You and your team mates deserve this respect of one another. If your not there on time we can't do what we need to at practices.

Next Practice

Our next practice will be Thursday night at 6:30 on diamond three at the Fairgrounds. The batting cage at Packham Rd. will be usable starting on Friday.

Monday Night

No matter the weather on Monday night we will still get together at the Fairgrounds. We need to do the uniforming sizing in order to have the jerseys in time to start the year.

At this moment with the way the weather is looking we will have our next pratice on Thursday night at 6:30.

Next practice Monday April 20 at 6:30 Stratford Fairgrounds. If you can not make it CALL or EMAIL. We will be sizing for uniforms that night so it is very important you are there, or you will have to play naked.

We have 15 players who have told us they are playing. I would like to see all 15 out on Monday night or at least notice that you can't make it.
